I am sure that Jim Aparo is a fine and decent human being, and clearly he’s very dedicated to comics.

But, yes, I can’t stand his art. I can understand some people liking certain artists whose work I don’t care for; tastes differ. However, in the case of Aparo, I simply don’t understand what any might like about it.

I’m just curious as to how much respect a story where the Atom goes inside Batman’s head and reanimates him by kicking him in the brain so he can go solve a crime actually requires beyond saying that it’s totally awesome.

Screw you guys! I read the Super-Blog all the time!! The thread topic that started the whole thing was about “Everything Sucks-ism” the rampant snarkiness that is all over the Interwebs and VH1 these days.

My point is that, while funny, The Super-Blog is snarky as hell. The other blogs I talked about were more respectful of the original comics. Bastards.

I think you missed the point, but since you didn’t link to the post in question, I could be wrong. What you’ve posted implies he doesn’t like the ISB’s sense of humor and prefers the more serious (scholarly?) approach of “Blog X” instead…. It seems to have little to do with liking Aparo or not or how much.
