So it seems I’m the devil’s son, out of breath and on the run.

Over at Wizard’s site, Grant Morrison lets me know just how much he loves me when he talks about his plans for the Batman book:

Issue #666 [in the summer... is [Batman's son, from Morrison's first arc on the title] Damian grown up as Batman of the future fighting the Anti-Christ.”

Oh, Grant. Really, you didn’t have to. But I’m glad you did.

(Meanwhile, in the same article, Paul Dini isn’t exactly aiming low with his Detective plans: “I’m working on new identities for him to adopt instead of being Batman… With each issue, I want to bring in something new. I don’t want to change things for the sake of change, but if the door is open and an idea presents itself, then I want to go with that… I’m looking to add to the mythology a bit, both for Batman and Bruce Wayne.”)

  1. Morrison Says:

With Grant Morrison and Paul Dini, the Batman titles are the best they’ve been in over a decade…

  2. Live Free or Dan Coyle Says:

Isn’t it weird? Hiring two creators and letting them do whatever they please, with seemingly no editorial dictates that everything must be sullen. Who knew? It makes good comics!

  3. Matthew Craig Says:

“…in at least one case, fathering a child with some rather familiar faces…”

    Wait, what?

Batman fathered a kid that looked like Two-Face?

    I’d demand a recount.
