Sacre bleu! (or some other Claremontism)

Gambit, reinvisioned by Chad Thomas

The wonderful Project Rooftop updates after an all-too-long absence with Marvel’s Gambit, re-envisioned in somewhat more practical attire by Chad Thomas. It’s not a radical departure, but Thomas provides a welcome alternative to the inexplicable Spandex/trenchcoat/headgear ensemble that the character so often wears.

I was unfamiliar with Thomas’ work, so I’m glad he’s being spotlighted by Project Rooftop. You can view his gallery, or visit his blog or MySpace page. Go, look; it’s fun, and good, stuff.

(As an aside, I think it’s hilarious that the Marvel wiki entry for Gambit lists “bilingual” under his abilities, as if it’s a job resume. If I’m not mistaken, he’s also fluent in Excel and Microsoft Word, and can type 45 words per minute.)

But his keyboards tend to explode when he’s typing angrily away…

  2. Dwight Williams Says:

Well, to be fair, “multilingual” is almost a necessity in any of Gambit’s lines of work.
