Following on from the (very funny) tour of Mark Waid’s studio/apartment/working environment, The Engine can’t help but focus on one particular part of Waid’s surroundings:
“He describes the pictures he rotates over his desk. One he’s considering. ‘It might also be a 8×10 glossy of Warren Ellis glaring an expression of judgmental disdain severe enough to negate gravity.’”
“I read that. Didn’t expect that. Was so out of place. Was thinking of posting it here but you beat me to it.”
“I have to admit the Gravitational Glare of Warren has inspired me on more than one occasion.”
The thread is illustrated by images of Warren as either Baron or Lord Fantastika. Which, you know, is rather worrying, when you think about it.

In the UK, The Lord X is what you call the person who has the title “the Baron X”. They’re essentially synonymous.
