Kerschl post-rocks the house.

January 19th, 2007
Author Graeme McMillan

Drawn, the illustration blog, looks at a Karl Kerschl project that may have passed many by:

Instead of issuing standard CD sleeves for their debut EP, the rock band, Ragni, worked with Karl Kerschl (Superman, Teen Titans) to produce a 72-page wordless graphic novel that works on the same themes as the music… I’m very good friends with the artists in question – which also means I was one of the first to see how gorgeous this book really is. It’s a looser, more emotive style than Karl is known for – and I love every page.

(Appropos of little other than my opinion, Karl Kerschl is one of the most underrated artists around these days… Is he a DC exclusive, or am I imagining that? And if so – or even if not – what’s he working on these days?)
