Thursday January 18, 2007, 12:16 pm

In an interview with Blabbermouth.net, KISS bassist Gene Simmons reveals that a new KISS comic is in the works:

Q: Gene, A friend of mine works at a distribution company that handles comic books. He tells me there is a new KISS comic book coming fairly soon. Is he leveling with me? Can you say anything yet?

Gene: There is going to be very big comic book news coming within a month. Kindly bear with us until we’re ready to announce the story.

Merchandising as long been a staple of the band, and KISS has appeared in comic books published by Marvel, Dark Horse and Image over the last 30 years. The first KISS comic, published by Marvel, featured the band’s blood mixed into the ink. They also made a guest appearance in Howard the Duck.
