Flash Gordon

Flash Gordon and Stan Lee are both headed back to TV — to the SciFi Channel, to be specific. On the Television Critic’s Association Tour last week, the network announced that a new Flash Gordon series was in development, with plans to premiere the new series in July. All together now … FLASH!!!! Ah-ahhhhh … he saved every one of us!

And if the original “space opera” hero isn’t enough for you, SciFi is also holding Legion tryouts for the next season of Who Wants to Be a Super Hero? during several World Wrestling Entertainment “Fan Axxess” events between now and mid-March. You can also mail in an application and videotape; read more and download forms on their website.

Also coming to SciFi: Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur, a super hero-ish series called Johnny Midnight and a reality show about witches.
