Satin tights, fighting for our rights (Slight return).

Jodi Picoult talks about writing Wonder Woman:

[A]pparently I’m the second woman to write her. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Mindy Newell was the first.] I don’t understand why it’s taken this long to get [another] girl onboard. It just seems that she’s an incredibly strong character. It’s also in some ways been her downfall too, I think, because she’s harder to relate to. She’s so all-powerful that it’s almost hard for someone to identify with her when they’re reading the book. One of the things that I’m trying to do is talk about how hard it is for her to maintain this secret human identity for the first time in a really long time. She has slummed as a human before, but I think that she was running a boutique or something like that. It was way, way, way back. Now, of course, she is working for the Department of Metahuman Affairs, and she’s a secret agent. The fun thing about her is that she’s not like Batman, who is human. She’s more like Superman. You can adore a group and fight for them, and still know in your heart that you’re not like them.

Hasn’t Trina Robbins written Wonder Woman stories as well?
