Looking at 2007’s film slate

January 3rd, 2007
Author JK Parkin

The Kansas City Star runs down 2007 film release dates for those that actually have dates. For some reason, they started in February rather than January.

Planet Terror, one half of Grind House

The slate, of course, includes many comic movies, like Ghost Rider, Spider-Man 3, the second Fantastic Four, 300, TMNT and Stardust, as well as several mega-sequels like the third Shrek, Oceans 13, another Harry Potter film and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Indiana Jones 4 is tentatively on the list for July, but don’t hold your breath … recent reports target it for May 2008.

The day I’m most anticipating is April 6, when Grind House opens.

They made a Beuwulf movie with Crispen Glover as Grendel, Angelina Jolie as Grendel’s mother, John Malkovich and Anthony Hopkins? WTF?

I’d be surprised if Indie 4 came out next year, to be honest. It took them, what, 14 years to agree on a script?

  3. JK Parkin Says:

The Beowulf movie was written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary.
