Kevin Huizenga explains the title of his new collection, Curses:
The other day I was asked whether the title of my book,”Curses,” is like as in “…foiled again.” No it is not. The title “Curses” refers, first of all, to the flock of starlings pictured.
In the book, the birds are curses.
In the story “The Curse,” Glenn Ganges is cursed with a flock of starlings that perch in the trees outside his house, and their deafening squawking and voluminous shitting destroy Glenn’s and his wife’s lives.
I mention this, of course, because you should all buy this book and everything else Huizenga puts out, because he is seven shades of awesome.

Seconded. Huzienga is High Quality Comix. When I was at MoCCA this year Ganges #1 was flying off the Fanta table.

I guess I should feel bad for my review of CURSES on the mothership, then. Maybe I need to give some of his other material a shot.
