If you’re in New York tonight, you should really find some way to get to Rocketship and go and see Art Spiegelman, Francoise Mouly, Kim Deitch and David Mazzuchelli, because, well, dude. Mazzuchelli alone would make me get there if I was on the same coast.
Instead, I’m in San Francisco and shall be spending the evening listening to Pixar people talk about how they made Cars. Of course, if you’re in the city that keeps Tony Bennett’s heart in a large wooden casket buried underground in case he ever tries to come back and get it and that’s not to your taste, you could always go and see some comic art hanging in a comic book store.
(And since I’m doing a rambly “What’s happening today” kind-of post, then happy birthday, Matt Fraction.)
