Forbes has released the Fictional 15, its annual list of fiction’s wealthiest characters.
Returning this year is Gotham millionaire Bruce Wayne (No. 7), with an estimated net worth of $6.7 billion. At No. 8 is a newcomer to the list, defense contractor Tony Stark, whose net worth is judged at $3 billion.
Among those falling off the list this year was inventor and real estate magnate Lex Luthor, who “is struggling to rebuild his fortune after blowing billions on his latest (futile) attempt to take over the world.”
Luthor shouldn’t feel bad, though; Santa Claus was bumped, too.
Along with Stark, other notable newcomers include “spam entrepreneur” Prince Abakaliki of Algeria (No. 9), and plumber-adventurer Mario (No. 15), who built a fortune by collecting gold coins.

I like how Santa was disqualified because, given all the circumstantial evidence, Forbes has decided he’s not fictional.
