It will be my great pleasure to be speaking on a panel at the Newark Museum along with Michael Kupperman, James Sturm, Lauren R. Weinstein, and R. Sikoryak. We’ve been asked to respond to the work presently on view in the must-see Masters of American Comics show. I’ll be reading an excerpt from Motel Art Improvement Service and then will go on at great length about exactly how Winsor McCay has shaped my life and work.
