I just hope this doesn't wind up being the "Donner Party Superman" where all of the old continuity is cannibalized and re-blended into easily digestible pap. The Donner movies were good for their time but just OK as a blueprint for now, esp. in the comics medium.

It looks like Kubert is going to take some time getting used to how he wants to present Superman, but the effort is clearly there. This looks like someone is working and not just throwing panel together that look "cool".

I think with All Star Superman around this book will not be that big a deal. But all of the Superman titles are currently more readable than prior to Crisis II. Sadly, the same can't be said of the terrible Flash relaunch and the OK and slow Wonder Woman title.

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, I have been worried that I haven't been writing enough....

It wasn't so bad. I would like an explanation of the "3 Kryptonians" comment from the Auctioneer. The boy hadn't arrived yet, so he was referring to Superman and two others. Supergirl and Krypto or someone(s) else?

Tom, you sure do write a lot. Beautiful analysis, but I'm a little worried that you're reading too much into it.

Hated it. Hated it, hated it, HATED IT. The art was uneven, the script seemed to be written by checklist. (Jor-El? Check, Obnoxious Perry? Check. Stupid Jimmy? Check. Evil Lex? Check.)
