Yahoo’s Time Capsule project is up, including the entry on the John Woo/Garth Ennis title from Virgin, 7 Brothers:
Fans of action flicks like “Face/Off” and “Hard Boiled” can attest to John Woo’s skill as a filmmaker. Now comic enthusiasts can do the same. Mr. Woo has penned a graphic adventure called 7 Brothers and, lucky us, he’s contributed it to the Time Capsule.
Like many comics, 7 Brothers concerns an ancient prophecy and a looming apocalyptic threat. However that’s where the similarities end. We won’t spoil any surprises, but even folks whose knowledge of comics begins and ends with Archie are sure to find 7 Brothers a treat (though a tad more violent).
Yahoo recently put out a call for digitial submissions for a time capsule that will not only be buried in Silicon Valley, but will also be beamed into space from The Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico later this month. More details on the project.
