Although The CW unceremoniously dumped Aquaman from its fall lineup, the fledgling network apparently is still interested in new superhero series.
TV.com has word that Veronica Mars executive producer Diane Ruggiero will create a one-hour superhero action/comedy for The CW. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s being described “Sex and the City meets Batman.”
The untitled show features two women whose superpowers only work when they’re together — like the Wonder Twins, only different.

I’m conflicted. I like Batman but hate Sex and the City.

Er… that sounds a lot like Scott Lobdell’s Ball and Chain, which was a busted pilot five years ago.

Hello?!?! Ball & Chain was about a husband and wife. This show is obviously about two lesbians. It’s totally different.

It sounds like the Luna Brothers’ Ultra.

He didn’t just pitch it, it was a 4 issue WildStorm mini and Dan Cortese and Sasha Alexander starred in the pilot.

The only superteen show that I would ever watch would be one based off of Runaways.
