I know I’m not the only one here who waited eagerly with her little plastic She-Ra (the only action figure in the house that was mine and not my brother’s!) and flying horse toy every Saturday for this show to come on. I was always bitterly disappointed when I looked through current listings to see if any of the cable networks were rerunning it.
Now I’m only disappointed it took so long to hear about this. (Via Racy Thoughts)
Her predecessor, He-Man, set the bar in the DVD market over the past year. Her own “Best Of” set was a hit at Comic Con. Now, the Princess of Power is ready to reign on her own as BCI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navarre Corporation, and UK media company and underlying rights owner, Entertainment Rights Plc (“ER”), proudly introduce “She-Ra: Princess of Power,” Season One, Volume One, available November 7th at a suggested retail price of $49.98. The six DVD pack will include 32 digitally remastered episodes from the first season of the classic ‘80s animated series.
“She-Ra: Princess of Power” Season One, Volume One, is the initial release in a three-volume set that will include all 93 original episodes of the popular animated saga. All three volumes put together will feature a unique She-Ra “spine art mural.”
Available for pre-order on Amazon.
Also, why didn’t anyone tell me about this “Best of” set?

You will definitely want the Best of She-Ra set.
The first disc on it is the actual He-Man/She-Ra Secret of the Sword movie.

Sorry! If i knew you liked She-ra I would have told you about the Best of DVD. I haven’t bought it yet, but I will.
I have a lot of the old cartoons on VHS tapes. I was pretty spoiled and my mom bought me the videos as they came out. I also still have my She-Ra toys. People keep trying to buy Spinderella off of me but all I can say is “screw you! Sh’es mine! All mine!”

I never had a She-Ra toy but I remember wishing for one. They were such purdy little dolls.
Anyhow, having watched Thundercats and G-Force I’m of the view that when it comes to much-loved kids cartoons you just can’t go back. What once seemed like gleaming jewels is now stealing stools.

Whoops! SteaMing stools! I completely ruined the punch line!

SHE-RA!
I’ve been watching the He-Man collected DVD sets with a friend and now I want to purchase those AND She-Ra. Goodbye hundreds of dollars but hello mainlining my childhood memories straight into my veins.
“The first disc on it is the actual He-Man/She-Ra Secret of the Sword movie.”
I WAS SO EXCITED AT THAT CROSSOVER. I loved both shows and it was my first introduction to the concept of a crossover.

SHE-RA 4EVER! I only had one She-Ra doll but that was a much loved action figure. I wanted to BE She-Ra with the rockin’ sword and flyin’ unicorn.
Come to think of it, I still want to be She-Ra

Ahhh, childhood memories.
I loved this show. I still have all my toys including HORDAK!! Safely kept in a trunk, of course. :p No She-Ra, unfortunately.
