it’s one of these:
1) they have so much faith in the fx, that they made the ghost rider as small as possible
or
2)someone in marketing had a novel idea “let’s market this as a LOVE STORY ! it will attract young girls in droves!! We are geniuses. Now let’s photoshop that skeleton-looking fella out of the poster”

A poster with a prominantly placed flaming skull probably would have been more effective, but maybe that’s just me.

You mean out of all the awesome Ghost Rider images we’ve seen over the years the marketing department decided to go with big heads and mini-rider? Wow whoever is doing the marketing on this should be fired…

Okay, I was going to say something about how the obvious and thrilling choice would have been one of the flaming skull-biker doing a wheelie images but it seems everybody else is thinking the same thing.
Stoooopid poster

Boy, this is gonna be trash…

That tagline makes this sound like Bram Stoker’s Dracula, only without the comic relief of Anthony Hopkins.

While a big’ol flaming skull gets the comic fans to the theatres.
It’s always the celebrities that bring Whitey to the film.
Additionally, sometimes prominent poster placement is just a condition of actors or actresses signing on to be in a movie.
Y’all talk shit about it, but you know if it were the cover to a comic instead of a movie, you’d go boner for the way it places a new perspective on Flamehead.

Come on, now… This won’t be the only poster they release.
This is the one to attract people that put more importance on the romance aspect.
I guarantee you’ll see a more kick-ass, action-oriented one later.

They really could have done better…

it’s a cool poster.
it’s pathetic you nerds are already talking shit on a movie that you haven’t seen.
of course me saying that is like talking to a wall. you basement dwellers really have nothing better to do, so i’ll let you have your fun.

Yeah, the poster is a bit odd. For a superhero movie, I’d expect a hero shot of Ghost Rider. Then again… there’s probably more posters coming.
I’m looking forward to it though.

I already had a bad feeling (mixed with hope) about this movie. Now, it’s getting worse…

Who said anything about the movie? Last I checked we’re rooting for the movie. Did I miss the “Ghost Rider looks like it’s going to suck so we should start talking trash NOW!” discussion? I could’ve sworn this was about an ugly looking poster…
Wait, Wil did you design the poster? My bad dude. I’m sure you put a lot of work into it.

Try to state your opinions without insulting everybody else. Talk about pathetic. Why don’t you try a new brain and see how it works.

It’s just a poster. There’s no need to get all hot under the collar about it. We should all know from experience that trailers and posters rarely reflect the finished product. Look at the early marketing campaign for THE IRON GIANT, for example.
