Good news comes from Brian Michael Bendis, concerning the – let’s face it – landmark 100th issue of Ultimate Spider-Man:
The numbers for USM 100 are in!!! and if i may pull a millar here…
it is the highest selling issue of the books entire run, by a mile, without the variant.thank you guys so so so much.
Maybe I’m getting old, but I’m glad to see the longevity of a creative team be rewarded with sales for once. I know, mumble gripe moan, why in my day people drew comics for all their lives, etc. etc. … I’m also glad to see that boasting about sales figures online is being called “pulling a Millar” now, but that’s got nothing to do with me being old and everything to do with me being a bastard.

Haven’t read #100 read, but I must say I’m enjoying the hell outta Bendis’ take on the “Clone Saga” so far.

I’m actually looking forward more to USM #100 then Civil War #4. It’s been so good. So very very good. Ultimate Ber Reilly is just real bastard for what he’s doing to Pete.

Don’t read USM, but congrats to Bendis & Bagley for the long run and strong sales.

Haven’t read any US-M recently, but when the series first started, I told the LCS manager that it was the best Spider-Man in years. From the reviews that I have read over the last couple years, US-M is still the best Spider-Man book around today.
