A couple of people have sent me stuff about the upcoming Phoenix Cactus Comicon … first up is a local commercial for the con that’s running in the Phoenix area, now available on YouTube:

And second, Ryan Cody sent an update on his appearance at the con and his comic art class, which he spoke to us about earlier this summer:

Ryan Cody, Artist & Co-Creator of Viper Comic’s critically acclaimed series VILLAINS will be appearing at the Phoenix Cactus Comicon in Mesa, AZ on September 23rd and 24th, 2006. He will be set up in the Small Press/Artist Alley section promoting VILLAINS as well as his well received Comic Art Class he teaches in conjunction with Samurai Comics. A second session of the class is slated to begin in early October. Ryan will be sketching, selling commissions and original pages as well as copies of Villains and his other creator-owned series The Hurricane Kids.

The con starts Friday, Sept. 22 and runs through Sept. 24. Other guests include Steve Rude, Terry Austin, Tim Bradstreet, Josh Middleton, Brian Pulido and Billy Tan, among others.
