The birth of The CW network this month brings some obvious synergies for the former WB and UPN networks. Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars on the same night? Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe a less obvious synergy, though, would be Smallville and Smackdown!:
In what is obviously a cross-promotional venture for the new CW Network, Batista will be guest starring on an episode of this season’s Smallville, slated to air in November. For those of you who have never seen the series, Smallville is a dramatic re-telling of comic book character Clark Kent’s early years as he learns to deal with his powers and their responsibilities en route to becoming Superman. The series’ sixth season begins this fall.
Maybe the WWE could provide a steady stream of musclemen for Clark to lay the smackdown on.

Reminds me of all the wrestlers that showed up on UPN’s Enterprise. It was just annoying, since, for the most part, pro-wrestlers are not good actors and, at least in the case of Enterprise, made me less likely to want to watch the show.

Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars together on the same night makes me very happy indeed. Just wanted to say.

There are worse actors in the WWE than Dave Batista – frankly, it beggars belief that some of them are allowed to talk at all, even by wrestling standards – but I still wouldn’t stick him up there next to a professional actor.
Mind you, if they just want him as a henchthug, I suppose he’d be okay.

I could see a wrestler playing Bizarro…though, I think the nuances of the character would be lost on television.
HA! The nuances of Bizarro…
One more for the list of things I thought I’d never say or type.
Other Super-characters that one of them could pull off?
