September 7th, 2006

The Marvel Masterworks forum is abuzz after the discovery of this entry at Amazon.com for an 816-page Daredevil By Frank Miller Omnibus, collecting Issues 158-191. Priced at $99.99, the collection is set for release on Feb. 28, 2007.

Here’s the Amazon description: “Frank Miller’s spellbinding scripts and pulse-pounding pencils herald one of Daredevil’s greatest eras, just in time for the Kingpin and Bullseye’s efforts to rob the Man Without Fear of everything he holds dear! Featuring the first appearances of Elektra, Stick and the Hand! The daring discovery that drew Ben Urich into Daredevil’s domain of darkness! Such forgotten-yet-formidable foes as Death-Stalker and the Gladiator! Guest-starring the Hulk, the Avengers, and Power Man and Iron Fist! Collects Daredevil #158-191.”

According to this thread, seven omnibus editions are rumored to be planned for next year. The 1,096-page New X-Men Omnibus, collecting Grant Morrison’s run, is due this December.

  1. Joe Lawler Says:

I wonder if the What If? issue Miller did will be included? It was in the trades Marvel released.

Too bad they couldn’t find a way to include Man Without Fear and Born Again as well.

  2. Dan Coyle Says:

Two What Ifs? actually- “What If DD had become an Agent of SHIELD?” and “What If Elektra Had Lived?”

Man, that omnibus sounds pretty boss.

  3. david brothers Says:

I remember that What If Elektra Had Lived? basically amounted to the Watcher going “You know what, Matt? Your life could’ve been awesome! Ha, you suck!”

This omnibus sounds dope, but I already own the whole Visionaries series :(
