According to a couple of reports, Todd McFarlane, fantasy author R.A. Salvatore and Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling are forming a video game company, Green Monster Games, which intends to “turn the industry on its ear with a product release and business model never before seen.”
Schilling, who already owns Multi-Man Publishing, is president of Green Monster. McFarlane is lead artist, while Salvatore is creative director.
Although there hasn’t been an official announcement of the venture, the Boston-based company is advertising for programming personnel on sites like Gamasutra.

Schilling is also an MMO nut. He’s been playing Everquest since it launched.

I thought Todd was bankrupt? I guess you can start a company with no money and still stiff people you owe money to like Tony Twist, Neil Gaiman and Greg Capullo.Todd should run for our nation’s treasurer post.

Good news for game fans, but /if I was a talented artist like McFarlane I’d want to draw comics too.

Why do all pictures of Todd McFarlane make it look like he’s trying to shoot you with mind-bullets? Does he think he looks cool making that face? Lighten up, Todd!

Schilling knows games, he plays Everquest. Salvatore knows how to write, and McFarlane knows how to manage a company and artists……..but how long ago did he actually draw?
