Over on the Comic Bloc forums, Stuart Moore talks about the end of his run on Firestorm:
• FIRESTORM’s been a borderline book in sales the whole time I’ve written it. As a result, I’ve tended to write the series in mini-”seasons” of 4 to 6 issues each, any of which could be an ending. When I wrote #32, I had a strong feeling this was it — and with the finishing touches we’ve just put on the script, it should be a high point for us to go out on. I’m very proud of the issue.
• Dwayne McDuffie’s plot sounds pretty cool to me, too…
• There should be another minor-but-interesting FIRESTORM announcement soon.
• And finally: Nobody’s picked up on it yet, but there’s a big hint to what’s going on in 52 somewhere in my run on the book (and another tie-in coming in issue #30). Spread that around and see if we can boost sales over the next few months!
Moore and Ingle’s last issue is #32, with McDuffie coming on board for three issues with #33, as the mothership reported last week.

It really disappoints me that there doesn’t seem to be such a push to save Firestorm as there was for Manhunter…and I honestly think, while both books are good, this one is better…

Firestorm, while low in sales, was never actually cancelled, and Manhunter WAS, so it never needed the “push to save” in the same way.
If you want to lead the campaign to boost Firestorm sales, I’m sure DC would be happy to support you!

That’s too bad. Moore has been doing an excellent job on the book. It’s one of the comics I most look forward to each month.
