Last week we learned that we’ll have to wait a little longer for the next issue of Civil War, but this week the wait is over for anyone wanting to know who exactly made the cut in DC’s post-Infinite Crisis Justice League of America title. We already know Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Red Tornado are in the book, plus one of the Hawks, plus a former Teen Titan, plus … hell, let’s stop pretending that the cover hasn’t already possibly been leaked. If you’re interested in being spoiled, Ragnell has it up on her blog.
Also out this week are several other big releases — Wonder Woman, Batman, Astonishing X-Men, Eternals — and a lot of really cool trades. If you missed out on the singles of Middleman, Boneyard or Dan Slott’s short-lived Thing series, check out the collections this week.
Lisa Fortuner’s Pick of the Week
Wonder Woman #2! Finallly! I can wait to see what happens!
Chris Hunter’s Pick Of The Week
Several very good choices to pick from, but the pick for me will have to be Astonishing X-Men #16, just to see what the heck Whedon will do with Logan and Beast.
Stephanie Chan’s Pick of the Week
My pick is Gals vol. 7. A hilarious manga about Japanese teenagers that like to shop and try to be popular. I blame my brother for getting me hooked on this series.
Melissa Krause’s Pick of the Week
I’m boringly traditional, I suppose. I’m waiting for JLA. I want to see the roster.
Tom Bondurant’s Pick of the Week
Hey, “boringly traditional” is my beat! I’m going with Batman #656, the second Morrison issue. Lots of honorable mentions, though, including JLA, Wonder Woman, Batman and the Mad Monk #1, and the Thing: Idol of Millions paperback.
JK Parkin’s Pick of the Week
I’m going with Justice League of America #1 as well … if the “leaked cover” is authentic, then I’m excited about just about everyone on the team, and if not, then I want to know who is really in the League.
Check out the Diamond shipping lists and let us know what you’re looking forward to.
