Vaughan and Harris tackle ‘What If?’ for New York

August 15th, 2006
Author Kevin Melrose

Tony Harris and Brian K. Vaughan's New York magazine piece

The Aug. 21 issue of New York magazine takes an alternate-history approach to the fifth anniversary of 9/11 and asks, “What If 9/11 Never Happened?” To tackle what this decade might’ve been like, the magazine turns to journalists, real-estate experts, novelists, politicians … and Ex Machina creators Brian K. Vaughan and Tony Harris.

The two produce the above piece, titled “Rudy Giuliani wouldn’t be ‘America’s Mayor’”:

“September 11, 2006: Sitting at his usual table at Windows on the World, former mayor Rudolph Giuliani dines alone, unnoticed.”

The whole site has some interesting stuff, but don’t read Bernard Henri-Levy’s piece.

  2. Chris Galdieri Says:

You do, of course, realize that such a comment is guaranteed to make people read Bernard Henri-Levy’s piece?

What if one was to say that your computer shoots acid at you if you read it?

I did - and now I have no left arm. I’m typing this message here slowly with my remaining right arm.
