Proof that I’m behind on my blog reading comes from the fact that I missed Erin Schadt close down her Comic Queen blog, although she does so for good reason:
I’m debuting a brand spanking new business: Fourth Wall Editing. This freelance editing service is aimed especially at small comics publishers and independent creators. Therefore, I’ve got to cut back on some of my other activities, and the blog is one of the casualties (actually it has been for awhile).
Going over to Fourth Wall’s website, Erin lays out what the business is offering:
From a final proof to substantive project consultation, Fourth Wall Editing offers services to match your comic project’s unique needs.
Perhaps you represent a small publisher. Hiring a freelance editor can be an excellent solution whether it’s temporary backup or regular collaboration.
Or maybe you’re an independent creator or team of creators. Bringing an editor on board will help you present your best work to the world.
I have to admit, I can think of more than a few publishers who could do with a pair of outside eyes to catch mistakes and the like, so here’s hoping that Erin finds herself overwhelmed by demand very soon.
