San Francisco’s Isotope – Enjoyed by all, including tastemakers.

San Francisco’s Isotope – The Comic Book Lounge is continuing to get the mainstream plaudits – Not satisfied in being the “Best Comic Book Store” of The Bay as voted for by San Francisco Bay Guardian readers, now they have the director of marketing at Yelp singing their praises in the San Francisco Chronicle:

Yes, I’m a comic dork and proud of it. Actually, the thing I like about Isotope is its casual cool attitude. Dare I say, it’s almost lounge-like inside. James and his staff are my eyes and ears on what’s hot, and they have the prescient ability to know what I’m looking for. Then they take it one step further and save the titles for me so they’re waiting for me on my next visit.

This comes just days after the last Isotope shindig with 100 Bullets’ Dave Johnson, which has been preserved for those of us who couldn’t attend in handy-dandy video form, including surprise special guest Marv Wolfman. Considering I got an email after the event telling me that perhaps it was better for my delicate constitution that I hadn’t attended because “it was quite a bacchanal,” this may be a much safer way to experience the whole thing…
