Curiously, I’ve never heard of the webcomic Agnes Quill, but I get the feeling I’m missing out on something. It’s about a girl-detective who deals with trapped spirits, possessions and zombies, which sounds like it was written with me in mind.
Luckily, Slave Labor Graphics is collecting the strip, written by Dave Roman and illustrated by Jason Ho, Jen Wang, Jeff Zornow and Raina Telgemeier. The 136-page trade paperback is due out in October.
To further whet your appetite, there’s a six-page preview at the publisher’s website. I really like what I can see of the cover, too, but I can’t find a bigger version of it.

Oooh, thanks! This caught my eye in the latest Previews, but I couldn’t find any additional information anywhere else.

And what does artist Jason Ho have in common with Mr. Melrose?
Both are Digital Webbing Presents alumni. (Now if I can just get that new F. Stein script done before Jason gets totally swamped.)

I glad to know Dave, Jeff, and Raina and right now they are all at the top of their game and getting better by the minute. This paperback is going to be a must get for everyone!

I first heard about it when Raina plugged it at hear livejournal… a Raina endorsement (and a little time to learn the name) is all I need to sell it to me… it only helps that Dave Roman worked on the project.
