WW Chicago-ish: Putting names to faces (and eyes)

August 5th, 2006
Author Kevin Melrose

Justice Society of America #1

At The Absorbascon, Scipio eyes the cover to DC’s Justice Society of America #1 — unveiled yesterday at Wizard World Chicago — and susses out everyone involved.

Even who’s behind the glowing eyes in the upper-right corner.

“Yes, Todd, I see you standing behind Wildcat; you look very handsome,” Scipio writes. “I am surprised how many people have not noticed you.”

“Todd” is Todd Rice, aka Obsidian, fresh from the pages of Manhunter.

The only other mystery, at least to me, was the woman standing between The Flash and Hawkman. Scipio and Devon identify her as “the new original Red Tornado.” No, not that Red Tornado; this one.
