Death movie inches closer to life

Just when you think Comic-Con is behind us, someone goes and posts an interview from the convention.

IESB.net has a decent video interview with Neil Gaiman in which he discusses his various film projects: Stardust, Coraline, Beowulf – and the status of the long-awaited Death: The High Cost of Living. (There’s a script!)

In the introduction to the video, IESB provides a further update.

“I received further information this morning directly from Don Murphy (Transformers) and this is where the movie stands,” Robert Sanchez writes. “Neil Gaiman will write and direct, Angry Films Don Murphy and his partner Susan Montford (Shoot ‘Em Up) are producing the film and Guillermo Del Toro is the executive producer.

“The movie is no longer at New Line Cinema but no worries since the filmmakers believe that they have already found a new home for the project and expect some announcements in the very near future.”
