Battle of the sexists sexes — ’70s-style!

July 28th, 2006
Author Kevin Melrose

Courtesy of Scans Daily comes this excerpt from a letter that apparently appeared in an issue of DC Comics’ late-1970s series Batman Family. I find it funny in a sad, sad way. Except, y’know, the letter-writer probably wasn’t joking.

I dug the lettercol reprints in X-Men Omnibus, and I think more reprints, as well as “digital preservation”, should do the same. We can’t grow as a nerd society unless we discover our nerd roots. I’d also like to add; until the Silver Surfer needs turtle wax, make mine Marvel!

I remember reading letters like this in response to Judd Winick having that guy come out in Green Lantern.
