Aquaman pilot on iTunes

The CW’s last-minute decision to pull Aquaman from its fall lineup left many fans wondering whether they’d ever see more than the trailer shown during the network’s upfront presentation.

Well, now they can stop wondering: The unaired TV pilot is available for download on iTunes for $1.99.

(Thanks, Matt Rower.)

I wonder if this is to spark interest among fans, or the networks way of showing us that it’s really bad. Either way I’m totally downloading this when I get home.

  2. Chris Says:

I am going to download this today!!

    “Aquaman fans rejoice”

Oh, they will once they’ve seen this and realize that it was a small mercy* that the CW didn’t pick this up for a full series.

    * — No pun intended, honest.

  4. Jeff Lester Says:

It’d be kinda nice if they also did this for the last twelve people on the Internet who haven’t seen Global Frequency….

(yes, I’m one of those twelve.)

I downloaded and watched it was good very good. I think this should have gotten picked up and if the merger thing wouldn’t have happened this would have gotten picked up. The chacaters were great with alot of room to move the story. The powers AC had fit perfect with the character. The whole cast was wonderfull. They need to shop this series to USA network or SCi Fi network.

    Annnnnd, now it’s gone.
The links are still there, but when you try to purchase it, you get the following error message:
“The item you tried to buy is no longer available. The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere on the store.”

Hopefully, this is just to fix the ipod compatibility problem- it wasn’t going onto ipods earlier today.

I just downloaded an Aquaman trailer off BitTorrent, and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that it was for this TV show and not the James Cameron movie from Entourage.

  8. Robb Irrgang Says:

Just hit purchase and it went through fine. Downloading right now.

  9. Gazoo Says:

I was looking forward to seeing this show, its a shame another comic related show gets yanked before its even shown, I hope they reconsider and air it at a later date.

I got that error message last night, too. But it was back online by around 7:30 EST. I really enjoyed it, my girlfriend was indiffrent but still liked it. You will belive that Marcellus Wallace is from Atlantis.

Aquaman is #1 downloaded in iTunes video section today.

  12. Chris Says:

I thought that it was an okay show. I can see why it would be expensive to produce, lots of special effects. The acting was good, the story was okay. It is a show that I would have watched.

  13. Kael Says:

The pilot episode was great. It has cool special effects and the way they related the story with the triangle of Bermudas was awesome. I really expect that CW regret turning down the show beacause It´s a nice story and it can entertain you once a week

What is he gonna solve crimes or something? I think it was a scam to get it onto Bittorrent. People outside the US can’t get it on ITUNES probably. I don’t even own a frigging IPod. I saw it and it sucked.
