Great trip down memory lane, saturday afternoons when these aired on tv. Now I'm watching these again with my own son of 7 and they're still great fun. And definitely not lacking. I really like the character and yes, interpretations have differed more or less. But the books are great, I loved most of the comics, these old movies are solid fun and the Greystoke movie was well made. I want another return of Tarzan to comics....Dark horse did some good things in their time with it. Hey, I bought that box 2 weeks ago and have watched the first 2 of those movies.
