Who the F#$% is Johnny Repeat? contest

June 20th, 2006
Author JK Parkin

No doubt you saw the interview we did yesterday with Elizabeth and Jason James on their upcoming graphic novel Johnny Repeat. The couple provided us with several copies of the graphic novel, which we’re giving away in our very first contest — our Who the F#$% is Johnny Repeat? contest.

Challenge

The contest is a simple matching game … if you read yesterday’s interview, then you know that several artists contributed to Johnny Repeat. Your challenge is to match the artist to the right panel.

The artists:

1. Tim Sale
2. Paul Azaceta
3. Fabio Cobiaco
4. Bruno D’Angelo
5. Mark Dos Santos
6. Geof Isherwood
7. Noel Tuazon

The panels (click for a larger image):

Panel 1
Panel 2
Panel 3
Panel 4
Panel 5
Panel 6
Panel 7

Prizes

First Prize = An exclusive Johnny Repeat 2006 SDCC Edition signed by Jason James and Tim Sale with an 8 ½” x 11” sketch by Noel Tuazon.

Second Prize = An exclusive Johnny Repeat 2006 SDCC Edition signed by Jason James and Tim Sale.

Three Third Prizes = Johnny Repeat regular edition.

Rules

1. One entry per person.

2. Our first prize will go to the first person who correctly matches all seven artists to the correct panel. Second prize will go to the second person. For our three third prizes, we will take the remaining correct entries, put them all in a hat and draw three winners. So even if you don’t enter right away, you still have a chance to win.

3. If nobody correctly identifies all seven artists before the deadline, we will award the first prize to the first person who correctly matches the most number of artists to panels. If no one correctly matches any artists, we will simply put all entries into a hat and draw the winners at random.

4. Feel free to use Google, your friends, etc. in trying to figure out what panel each artist drew.

Deadline

Deadline for entries is Wednesday, July 5. Please list the artist’s name and the panel you think they drew, like this:

John Doe — Panel 1
Jim Doe — Panel 2
etc.

Also include your name, address and phone number with your entry. You can email your entry to: JohnnyRepeatContest@gmail.com. Please do not include any other correspondence in your email; if you have questions, please leave them in the comments section.

Good luck!
