Fabulist.org has an exclusive sneak preview of one of the songs from the upcoming Neil Gaiman tribute album, Where’s Neil When You Need Him?, due in stores July 5. The song, called “Mr. Punch,” is by the Future Bible Heroes.

Incidentally, Chris Ewen of the group is working on a side project that may be of interest to Gaiman fans … under the name The Hidden Variable, he will release a collection of songs with lyrics written by authors such as Gaiman, Poppy Z. Brite, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Peter Straub, Lemony Snicket and many others.

So there’s something for everyone … those who want to hear songs about Gaiman, and those who want to hear songs written by Gaiman.
