In a brief Q&A with Jennifer Zatorski, associate publicity director for Disney Publishing Worldwide, ICv2.com reveals the marketing budget for Abadazad is “a very healthy” $200,000.

Very healthy, indeed — at least by comic-book standards.

In the interview, Zatorski details plans for banners on kids’ websites, an online viral campaign, in-school promotions and through other Disney divisions.

Abdazad will be featured on 250,000 book covers which will be distributed to schools this fall,” Zatorski said. “The covers will promote the books, the forthcoming Abadazad Mobile Club, and the Website. In addition, the books will be featured library conventions throughout the year and we will distribute promotional posters and tattoos.”
