Spider-Man 3 images invade the internet
XFM.net has images and video from the set of Spider-Man 3, featuring Spidey in action, Topher Grace and a glimpse of the black costume:

Spider-Man

No room for Gambit
iFMagazine.com chats with screenwriter Simon Kinberg about X-Men: The Last Stand. Kinberg, a self-proclaimed huge X-Men geek, talks about why Gambit didn’t make it into the film:

I think the one character we really wanted to find a way to include in the movie, and ultimately just couldn’t find a way to do it, was Gambit. We wrote a cameo for him, and then really felt like it was better to save Gambit and give him a major role in a future X-MEN movie, rather than give him a cameo where fans would be saying “that’s all I get of Gambit?” The plot that we chose for the story, felt like it was so good at introducing Beast and Angel, because of the department of mutant affairs and Warren Worthington the first being the creator of the cure. It all felt very right and very resonate. Finding a place for Gambit where he wasn’t going to be just one of the team didn’t come to us. We didn’t want to introduce a fan favorite character and not be able to do him justice. There just wasn’t enough space in this movie.

The Goon

Spence Olchin writes the Goon?
Actor/comedian Patton Oswalt (King of Queens) will contribute a story to the upcoming Goon anthology Dwight T. Albatross’s The Goon Noir #1, due in September. Oswalt will team with legendary artist Mike Ploog (Werewolf by Night, Ghost Rider) on the story. Other contributors to the first issue include Bill Morrison, Steve Niles and Ryan Sook.

Hulk gets a do-over
Marvel producer Avi Arad on a Hulk sequel: “A lot of people are looking forward to the comic book version of the HULK. That’s the one we are making, and I think it will be incredibly satisfying. It will be big and awesome and a big ride. It’s a “do-over”. I loved the HULK movie, it was just a different approach, and it wasn’t exactly the comic. We want to be much closer to the comic. It’s what we would rather do.”
