Celebrated Artcomix publisher Fantagraphics is also doing some self-celebrating this year, as they mark their 30th anniversary with an oral retrospective of the company compiled and edited by all-round-comics-journalist-God Tom Spurgeon. Interestingly enough, they’ve chosen to make rough versions of pages from the book available for download as enticing previews for those on the fence. So far, the first 20 pages are available, and there have been new pages going up daily for the last couple of weeks.

There’s some fascinating material to see so far; if nothing else, Gary Groth’s early fanzine efforts – complete with drawings of Kraven The Hunter – are worth the download.
