Alienware’s Supercomputers

Superman Notebook

Last month, Alienware announced they will be producing limited edition Superman computers. The computers are now viewable on their comic theme website. The site is pretty neat, featuring concept art, image gallery, wallpapers, buddy icons, Superman making a fly-by and promises of more content coming soon.

There are two different computers coming this July. The Area-51 Superman Returns Edition Notebook is limited to 350 units and sells for $2,539.00 USD. The Area-51 Superman Edition Desktop features artwork by Tommy Lee Edwards (although the website credits Tommy Lee) and retails for $1,899.00 USD with only 250 units made. According to Alienware, both systems are nearly sold out, with almost less than 25 units of each left.

I was going to say that was cool until I read the “limited edition” part.

I’m waiting for the second printing with cool pencil cover artwork.

Well, it could be worse. It could be like the one-of-a kind X-Men computer from Dell.
